Members are awarded points that are equivalent to $0.01 each. The site FAQs state that these points can remain in the pending phase anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks, depending on various factors.

What are the most common issues with American Consumer Opinion?

Extremely slow payment seems to be this program’s major downfall. Users have reported not being paid for up to 5 months, which most users will find unacceptable.

Another knock on American Consumer Opinion is the low frequency of survey invitations and payouts on the low side only exacerbate this major drawback.

Closing Thoughts: Is American Consumer Opinion right for me?

American Consumer Opinion has been in business for over 10 years, but don’t let the A+ fool you. You will eventually be paid and you might even be lucky and get invited to a high-paying focus group. The slow payment issue suggests the company may not be as financially stable as many members would expect.

The unresponsive customer service only adds to what many members claim is a frustrating experience. Many users have reported a very bad experience overall, which mainly stems from slow payment. Our research has revealed some positive experiences, but these are few are far between.

There’s really no risk to joining for free and seeing if it works out for you. They do not send any spam or sell user information to third parties. American Consumer Opinion is a legitimate operation, just not one of the best survey programs out there today.

Official American Consumer Opinion Description

Decision Analyst originally created the American Consumer OpinionĀ® panel in early 1986 as a small mail survey panel. Members were personally invited to participate in the panel by telephone, and answered the surveys via the mail. Since the surveys were conducted by mail, membership was limited to the United States. Members primarily tested and provided their feedback on new products. By 1995, the mail survey panel had approximately 20,000 Members.

  • Honest and great for our everyday needs from everyday people…highly recommend

  • Seems suspicious honestly i sure aint been paid the etc amount i get emailed about but i may as well keep it up and hope i aint being conned lol

  • They have become very slow at paying out. I have 3 payments queued up to be paid. And they haven’t sent any! It has been 6 months since the first one.

  • I have been a member of ACOP for over 5 years now and they are a truly honest company to do paid surveys with. You can let your account build up and request a pay out any time you wish and they pay it quickly too. Sometimes their surveys don’t load correctly and when that happens I just send their tech support an email and if they can’t fix it for me they always honor what they say and put the points into my account because they know they can trust me not to lie to them.

  • This is one of my favorite s I love do surveys for ACOP great site one the very best!

  • Surveys are simple and vary in interesting levels.

  • Easy to follow questions, must respond quickly to emails otherwise it is usually closed if you wait more than a couple of minutes to take survey.
Survey is easy to complete, multiple choice questions, length of survey’s vary

  • Have not taken a survey yet, but sign up was easy

  • Well I like doing there survey with American Consumer Opinion. But they don’t give you a lot option honest survey website to earn much points and to get more programs to your accounts with this company. But I have been with over the years !!! Thank You

  • A Great Survey Panel. Honest and Reliable. Been with them a long time. Very good surveys and payments are made on time.

  • I have been with this company for over 2 years now and I have bank a pretty good penny with them so if you would like some extra income this is a good one to join. So come on board.

  • So far I’ve not been impressed with ACOP, because of two reasons: first, it seems to take long for their programs (surveys) to load. Second, the website seems to be slow in administering credit upon completion of a survey. Specifically, I completed two surveys back in late April that were worth several hundred points. I STILL have not received credit for them.

  • I find the surveys that are sent to me are important surveys that impact my everyday life. I learn something new each time that I am invited to a survey. l love the fact that what I have to say about a product or service really does matter! I am no longer what I like to refer to: as one of those who have a big mouth but only use it to complain with, I am now among the many whose opinion helps get the facts to the public.

  • I have been a member 5 or 6 years and have always loved being a part of this panel they are the best.
Nice surveys and not long or boring not repetitive surveys are put together great. I will continue my membership and partnership with American Consumer Opinion Panel. Love working on this panel and they pay as they say I have never had a problem with collecting my rewards. Lots of Kudos to ACOP!!

  • Some very interesting surveys. I just wish they had more for people as old as I am. I don’t qualify for many surveys, and I believe it is because of my age, and retirement from working. The few I do get are fun, well written and interesting.
